Chesterfield County borders the City of Richmond to the south and west of the James River. Common area names within the county are Midlothian, Bon Air, Chester and Chesterfield. The county is the most populous within the Metro area and is largely made up of single family detached homes in suburban settings. The county is accessed via Powhite Parkway (central), Route 288 (western edge) and Interstate 95 (southern and eastern sections).
