Would you say that a dreary and wet day is not a good time to look at houses? Our wonderful Buyer’s Agent, Kim Nix says “Think again!” While in a perfect world, we’d all like to stay home in our jammies on a day when the rain pours, the rainy weather is actually a great time to go look at houses. Roof leaks or poor drainage are not always evident when viewing homes during sunny conditions, so viewing a house when it is raining could help you see potential water problems. It’s also great to have your home inspection done in the rain–although I’m sure the inspector may prefer the sunshine. The rain on an inspection day can also bring to light imperfections or concerns that one may not notice on a dry day.
