Week two of construction at our little house renovation is well underway, and already some big changes to be seen!
Our HVAC guys at Dominion Heating and Cooling have been working in the two hundred degree attic space to install our AC and Heat Pump. They’re finishing up today, which our contractor Seth is very grateful for. He has also been working hard in sweltering conditions to make some of the first major changes to the first level. Taylor and I are going on a shopping adventure today, as we begin making some decisions and gathering items for the necessary next steps.
Some of the changes include:
- The door that had been in the kitchen has been enclosed, making more wall space, where we will put the fridge. On the Dining side of the half-wall will be a breakfast bar.
- The wall between the kitchen and dining room – it’s been cut in half! It opens the flow and allows a more modern style of living for the future owners!
- We are creating a Master Suite where none existed before, complete with Bath and Laundry!
And from the ‘Never Know What You Might Find’ file, an old piece of flooring in the attic was found – Hoping to clean it up and frame it as a piece to stay in the house!
Flooring, and plumbing, and paint – oh, my!
